One year of FLUXUM, two new milestones

Ladies and gentlemen,

This October is a very special month for FLUXUM Gernsheim because our GreenTech park is celebrating its one-year anniversary. Just in time for this occasion, we have achieved two further milestones on our path towards the future: The first GreenTech company will move into FLUXUM Gernsheim and our accelerator is being launched. You can find more detailed information here. We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter!

The first tenant at FLUXUM Gernsheim – welcome, ESy-Labs

As the first external company to move in, we are delighted to welcome ESy-Labs to our GreenTech Park. A look at the portfolio shows why ESy-Labs is an excellent tenant and cooperation partner for us. For example, the company uses electrosynthesis and electrocatalysis to produce high-quality chemical compounds (e.g. active pharmaceutical ingredients). As early as October, a small team from ESy-Labs will move into an existing laboratory on our premises. CEO and co-founder Tobias Gärtner is glad to have found a place where the company can further develop its technologies: “It feels great to be the first GreenTech company at FLUXUM Gernsheim.” Welcome!

Launch of the GreenTech accelerator at FLUXUM Gernsheim

Our GreenTech accelerator combines expertise from research, industry and the public sector. With an operating company founded for this purpose at the end of September, we will support start-ups as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing new, sustainable solutions in the fields of environmental technology, chemistry, biotechnologies, and materials science and engineering. In this context, the accelerator is to act primarily as an intermediary that establishes contacts with potential investors and major companies and provides the necessary infrastructure – adapted to the respective requirements of the company. The accelerator will go into action on interim premises this year.

At the signing (starting from the left): Stefan Fandel (Merck), Maximilian Meister (Technical University of Darmstadt), Enrico Schleiff (Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt), Rainer Waldschmidt (HTAI), and Antje Rützel (WI Bank).

Business Angels visit FLUXUM Gernsheim

Last September, we had the pleasure of hosting the pitch event of Business Angels FrankfurtRheinMain e.V. on the topic of sustainability. At the event, six start-ups presented their innovative ideas in the fields of sustainability and green future technologies. Our GreenTech Park provided the perfect location to bring together start-ups and investors. Together with the Business Angels, we are pursuing one goal, which is to support young, determined and smart founders on their path to a greener future.

One year of FLUXUM Gernsheim

We have now been following the path towards the future for 12 months – and we are doing it in good company: Many thanks to everyone who has helped us reach our milestones so far. Let’s continue to move in the same direction together and create solutions for a more livable and greener future.
