On Friday, August 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m., the Gernsheim public waterworks will be operated on backup power for testing purposes as part of ongoing modernization efforts.

Following consultation with the City of Gernsheim and the responsible technicians, no interruption to the drinking water supply is expected for the Fluxum site. Based on current information, no other disruptions are anticipated.
