GreenTech start-up Ammonigy next settler on FLUXUM Gernsheim

GreenTech Park has a new settler: With Ammonigy, it is now settling ESY-Labs GmbH, ryon GreenTech Accelerator and Symbiotic Green Technologies GmbH (FormerlySymbiotic Food) the next start-up on FLUXUM Gernsheim.

Die Ammonigy GmbH Through patented ammonia cracking, it enables the direct use of ammonia as a CO2-free fuel in combustion processes. With the help of an ammonia cracker, conditionally combustible ammonia is converted into an ammonia-hydrogen mixture, which can be used efficiently in engines or industrial burners.

For the next steps of product development, the company needs a suitable infrastructure and contacts from the chemical industry: “FluxumGernsheim combines these points and creates excellent framework conditions for us,” says managing director. Christian Hermle.

Prototypes, i.e. decentralized ammonia crackers, are being tested and further developed in the newly occupied hall at our GreenTech Park. This includes the complete infrastructure for ammonia-hydrogen treatment and control technology.

Ammonigy was founded in 2020 to further develop the first whs energy technology cracker prototypes. The whs Group has been active in the renewable energy sector for over 25 years. An increasing importance of CO2-free fuels led to the founding of Ammonigy.

With the settlement, the young company is also taking advantage of the offers from GreenTech Accelerator ryon.
