Another year is drawing to a close. However, we see this deal much more as a start, because there is a lot happening in our GreenTech Park: from successful kick-offs to a happy look back. What exactly is this about? Find out below. Enjoy reading!

Lively exchange in a relaxed atmosphere: The first FLUXUM business breakfast

A few months ago, we asked ourselves how we can best exchange ideas and network with companies in our immediate neighborhood? There were no existing platforms, so we quickly initiated our own: The FLUXUM Business Breakfast was born!

At the end of September, there was a Kick-off event in our GreenTech Park — and our expectations were more than met: Numerous companies accepted the invitation and took advantage of the opportunity to get to know each other, exchange and network. The focus of the event was on the topic mobility. As part of this, we presented our plans and ideas about mobility in and around FLUXUM Gernsheim. There was then enough room for discussion about the status quo of mobility in Ried in Hesse. This showed that the topic concerns almost all participants and that synergies quickly developed.

Working together for green change: FLUXUM at Impact Festival

On September 13 and 14, the Fredenhagen Hallen in Offenbach was all about sustainable transformation. The reason for this was the third edition of Impact Festival, Europe's largest B2B trade fair for sustainable innovations. The event welcomed a total of more than 3,100 visitors, 165 speakers, 200 investors and over 50 exhibitors — including FLUXUM Gernsheim.

At our stand, the audience was able to learn about our GreenTech Parkfind out more and exchange ideas with our team. We had two exciting days with lots of inspiring conversations — and the good feeling of being part of a large, valuable community.

Full sun, full power: Construction on our photovoltaic park has begun

Merck is pursuing the goal of being climate-neutral by 2040. An important step in this direction is your own photovoltaic park on the FLUXUM Gernsheim site: In cooperation with Entega AG, over 12,000 PV modules are currently being installed on the eastern site of our GreenTech Park — around seven hectares of pure solar power! The plant will generate up to seven gigawatt hours of green electricity per year and save 3,500 tons of CO2. And that's just the beginning — we'll keep you up to date!

1,424 euros for a good cause: FLUXUM Gernsheim donates to “Gernsheim läuft”

At the end of September, around 100 employees from the site took part in the second edition of “Gernsheim läuft”. At this event, it was important to Merck Running Track on the Rhine To collect as many kilometers as possible together — and FLUXUM Gernsheim donated 2 euros per kilometer run. In the end came in sum 712 km and thus a proud 1,424 euros in total, which made everyone involved very happy.

The amount donated will put a smile on the faces of children from Gernsheim and Biebesheim this year: In cooperation with the city of Gernsheim and the municipality of Biebesheim am Rhein, children with Christmas gifts Considering that their families, due to their financial situation, are unable to buy them. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who, with their running commitment and organization, has helped to make this campaign possible!
